Still busy around here so I figured I show off a batch of commissions I’ve done over the last year that haven’t been posted.
1.Alien Legion- Never read the comic, but I always remembered seeing this book and thinking it looked pretty cool as a kid. I see they recently came out with an omnibus edition so maybe now’s the time to give it a read.
2. Orion- From the Kirby’s Fourth World. This was actually just a morning warm up.
3. Rancor- I really wanted to draw a little Luke Skywalker down at the bottom from Return of the Jedi. Makes me think if the awesome play set they had as a kid.

4. Tank Girl- Once again a character that I’ve never read a comic of. Saw that really bad movie they made of it in the early 90’s. I say I’ve never read an issue but I have looked at many of them simply cause creator Jamie Hewlett’s work is so amazing.
Been debating about commissions lately. Up till now I haven’t (what I feel) charged much for commissions. I am fortunate to usually have a handful going at the same time. Something I’ve been thinking about doing though is charging a little more so I can invest more time in them. I like what is above but usually I am on such limited time that the poses and composition are rather simple. Better commissions mean a better portfolio which brings better work. We’ll see how it plays out. Comic convention season is drawing near and I’m really excited for this season. Hope to see you at one of these great shows.
