Just wanted to remind everyone that this week is Indy Comic Week at your local comic shops. For those not in the know basically all the major comic publishers and the main comic distributor have taken this week off from putting out books due to the holidays. Seeing this as a great opportunity to fill the empty racks with books and finally get a decent crack at quality shelf space, the indie comic community has formed a collection of titles that comic shop owners can order and place on their shelves December 30th, thus avoiding a dead week of not having any comics.

A great place to look to see what is going on in your local area is simply the Indie Comic Week website.

For those in Minnesota there is a lot going on. Big Brain Comics is having some creators in for a signing.

The Source Comics and Games will be hosting a Mini Indie Con from 5pm-9pm. A dozen or more creators including myself, will be on hand doing sketches, selling books, and talking comics. It will be a great place for anyone interested in learning more about the many different ways a person can get a comic published. There will be free snacks and soda as well as door prizes. So come on by and check out some great indie comics.
